I remember the day we met. Your sweet chiffon. The bait upon your breath
My sugar vision with candy charm
Not a hair upon you could harness any harm
So it seemed
But love like the night, things hidden and concealed
It took the daylight to shine down things revealed
Out in the sunshine standing next to him
All aglow, my empty little sieve
I don’t think all that much of you. Here I go again
It’s to easy to remember to forget we ever met
What little I think of you I can’t get off my mind
Oh, yeah. What little I think of you
Can’t get you off my mind
Now I’ve gone over our exchanges in my head
Shadow boxing the love long been dead
You played the villain. I played a stooge
Each part’s been real enough except the one where you stay true
You’re no good. Not worth the vent or worth another second spent
Pining about a past to spite tomorrow
What little I think of you. It’s just not worth my time
No. Not worth my time
No. Not worth my time
I don’t think all that much of you
It’s to easy to remember to forget
What little I think of you I can’t get off my mind. No
What little I think of you, I can’t get you off my mind

Behind The Song...
What Little I Think Of You (I Can’t Get Off My Mind)
This song developed out of the word play of the chorus.
It’s to easy to remember to forget we ever met
What little I think of you I can’t get off my mind
The idea of thinking “little” of someone can be read as not thinking highly of the person OR as it relates to frequency in which the person enters your mind. That coupled with the “ease of remembering to forget” puts the singer in a position where he is trying to convince himself the former object of his affection does not mean anything to him when in fact, it is obvious to the listener, and EVERYONE else besides the singer that the singer is nowhere near “over it”..... and perhaps never will be. I'm sure this happened to somebody, but not me.
