I said it once. I’ll say it twice. Never gonna let you go without this advice
So listen here. Face the facts. If you don’t listen now there’s gonna be no turning back
So come on down off that fence. Fella you better find your present tense
Listen up I hear each day get more in life
Go on drop what you have and go get yourself a piece a paradise
But, all you’ll learn in all that haste? Only distance can preserve a perfect face
I hope you find a home and when you do
There’s gonna be somebody there who’s gonna love you
That night you’ll thank your lucky stars above
Oh, when you’ve finally found a home and there’s someone there to love
Enough’s enough. I’ve let it out. I said my peace
I offered this advice for free
But either choice. A price to pay
I’m working for the wage so I can say
I hope you find a home and when you do
There’s gonna be somebody there who’s gonna love you
When you gonna learn from all that haste?
Distance ain’t nowhere. It ain’t no place
You’re gonna want somebody there
You’re gonna need someone who cares
You’re gonna want someone to share your love
You’re gonna want somebody who’s gonna take good care of you
You’re gonna thank your lucky stars above

Behind The Song...
Home
“Home” turns out to be a song written for and sung to myself. It is related to “Many Moons” in the sense that my wife will tell anyone who asks that it took me a looooong time to finally propose.
I thank my lucky stars above to this day.
